Pendennis Castle
|
|
One of Henry VIII's coastal fortresses, Pendennis
defends Falmouth Bay. It was also used as a garrison and Gun
Battery in the 2nd World War, and was home to American soldiers
prior to the D-Day landings. |
Tintagel Castle
|
Perched high on an outcrop, Tintagel Castle commands views up
and down the north Cornish coast. It's a large site with
scattered castle remains and is the legendary home of King Arthur
and the Knights of the Round Table. |
